Welcome to myCVpath. By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and myCVpath. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

SECTION 02: CAPABILITIES

myCVpath is an AI-powered resume building and job application management platform that provides the following services:

  • CV Builder: Manual form-based resume creation with structured sections
  • CV Parser: AI-powered parsing of existing resumes into structured format
  • CV Tailoring: AI-driven customization of your CV for specific job postings
  • Cover Letter Generation: Automated creation of personalized cover letters
  • PDF Generation: Professional PDF exports of your CVs and cover letters
  • Job Tracker: Management of job applications, interviews, and follow-ups
  • Master CV Storage: Secure cloud storage of your comprehensive CV data

SECTION 03: USER ACCOUNTS AND REGISTRATION

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and complete
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your password
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

SECTION 04: USER CONTENT AND DATA

4.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the content you upload to the Service, including:

  • Your CV data (personal information, work experience, education, skills, etc.)
  • Job descriptions and application notes
  • Uploaded resume files
  • Generated cover letters and tailored CVs

4.2 License to Use Your Content

By uploading content to the Service, you grant myCVpath a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to:

  • Store, process, and display your content to provide the Service
  • Process your content using AI models to parse, tailor, and generate documents
  • Create backups and ensure data redundancy
  • Use anonymized, aggregated data for service improvement and analytics

This license terminates when you delete your content or account, except for content that has been shared or is required for legal compliance.

4.3 AI Processing

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your CV content and job descriptions will be processed by third-party AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) to provide parsing and tailoring features
  • We use these services as data processors under strict data processing agreements
  • Your data sent to these services is not used to train their AI models
  • AI-generated content may not always be accurate and should be reviewed before use

4.4 Content Accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of all content you provide. You represent and warrant that:

  • All information in your CV is accurate and truthful
  • You have the right to use and share all content you upload
  • Your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws

SECTION 05: PROHIBITED USES

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or any harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
  • Collect or harvest personal information of other users

"myCVpath" and our logos are trademarks of myCVpath. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written permission.

If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use such feedback without any obligation to you.

SECTION 07: SERVICE AVAILABILITY AND MODIFICATIONS

7.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be:

  • Available at all times without interruption
  • Error-free or free from viruses or other harmful components
  • Accurate, complete, or reliable

7.2 Maintenance and Updates

We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily makes the Service unavailable. We will attempt to notify you in advance of scheduled maintenance.

7.3 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

8.2 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

AI-generated content (parsed CVs, tailored CVs, cover letters) may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate content. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before use. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYCVPATH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

8.4 Job Application Results

We do not guarantee that using our Service will result in job offers, interviews, or employment. Success in job applications depends on many factors beyond our control.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless myCVpath, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any content you upload to the Service

SECTION 10: PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

SECTION 11: TERMINATION
